Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Calcon (“we”, “our”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information across both of our products:
- the Calcon website at https://calcon.in; and
- the Calcon Android app, published on Google Play under the package name com.vgtech.calcon.
The two are separate products with different data practices, so this policy scopes each section. Sections 2–5 describe the website. Section 6 describes the Android app. Sections 7–13 apply to both unless a section says otherwise.
2. Information We Collect (Website)
- Automatically collected: IP address, browser type, device info, pages visited.
- Analytics: Aggregated stats via tools like Google Analytics, on the website, only if you consent.
- User input: Name, email, or messages submitted via contact forms.
2.1 Files you upload to tools
Most Calcon tools run entirely in your browser, and your files never leave your device. These tools upload your file to our processing server:
- PDF Compressor
- PDF Password Protector
- PDF Password Remover
- PDF to Word Converter
- PDF to Excel Converter
- Word to PDF Converter
- Excel to PDF Converter
- Excel Password Remover
- Image Compressor
- Image to Text (OCR)
Files are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our processing server, hosted by Railway in Singapore. They are processed in temporary storage and deleted as soon as processing finishes. We do not keep copies, use them for anything else, or share them.
Passwords you enter in the password tools are used only to process that file and are not saved.
Our hosting providers may keep standard request logs (such as IP address, time and status), but not the contents of your files.
3. How We Use Your Information (Website)
- To improve our tools and platform performance.
- To respond to user inquiries and feedback.
- To analyze usage trends and site functionality.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Cookies & Tracking (Website)
The website uses cookies for essential functionality and analytics. You may accept or reject cookies using the banner or your browser settings. The Android app does not use cookies; see Section 6 for how the app handles analytics.
5. Third-Party Services (Website)
- Google Analytics: For anonymous traffic analytics.
- Form services: If used, your message is securely processed and sent to our inbox.
- Railway: File processing. Hosts the server that processes files for the tools listed in Section 2.1.
6. Calcon Android App (com.vgtech.calcon)
This section applies to the Calcon Android app only. The app requires no account and no sign-up, and it works without you giving us any personal information.
6.1 What the app collects
The app uses Firebase / Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage analytics, so we can see which tools people actually use and where the app needs work. That is limited to:
- Which tools are opened and which features inside them are used.
- Aggregate usage counts — for example, how many times a tool was opened.
- General device information such as device model, operating system version, app version, language and country.
- An advertising identifier (the Android Advertising ID), which Firebase collects by default.
This data is anonymous and is used in aggregate. It is processed by Google as part of Firebase / Google Analytics — see Google’s Privacy Policy.
6.2 What the app does not collect
- No account and no personal information. There is no sign-up or login. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or location.
- None of the data you enter into a tool. Your calculation inputs and results — amounts, rates, dates, text, or anything else you type or paste into a tool — are processed on your device. Nothing you enter into a tool is sent to us or to any third party, and nothing you type into a tool leaves your device. (Some tools may offer an optional link to open the calcon.in website in your browser for additional features. Anything you do on the website is covered by the website sections of this policy, not this app section.)
We do not sell any of the data the app collects.
6.3 How to opt out of analytics
Usage analytics is on by default. You can limit or reset the advertising identifier the app relies on using Android’s own controls: Settings → Google → Ads → ‘Opt out of Ads Personalisation’ (on newer Android versions, ‘Delete advertising ID’).
6.4 Where your data is kept
The app stores tool data locally on your device. There is no Calcon account to sign in to and no Calcon server holding your tool data.
7. Data Retention
Website: we retain server logs for 30 days, and contact messages only as long as needed to serve your request.
App: analytics data is held by Google under the Firebase Analytics data-retention settings for our project. It is not stored on Calcon servers.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal data. To make a request, please email us at support@calcon.in.
9. Children’s Privacy
Neither the Calcon website nor the Calcon Android app is intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption, firewall protection, and limited access controls to safeguard your data.
11. International Transfers
Your data may be processed outside of your country. We ensure legal safeguards are in place to comply with data protection laws.
12. Policy Updates
We may revise this policy. The “Last updated” date will always reflect the most recent changes. Continued use of our site means you accept those changes.
